Mini pumpkins, oranges or apples
Bird Seed
Apple
Cheese
BBQ skewers
String
Bowl
Spoon
We had some left over ‘Jack be Little’ pumpkins stored in the greenhouse so decided to use them to make bird feeders. They’re simple to make and the birds really need the help this time of year.
Cut the top off your pumpkin, orange or apple and scoop out the inside.
Make holes in either side and thread through your string and knot each end.
We also pushed a BBQ skewer through so that the birds could use it as a perch.
Chop up the apple and cheese into small pieces. Put in a bowl with the birdseed and mix together.
Scoop your chees, seed and apple mixture into your hollowed out pumpkin and press down to make sure you fill it nice and full.
Hang your pumpkin feeder in a tree and wait for your visitors to arrive!
